Great for biking, cycling, hiking, etc., this jersey has been designed especially
to cater for the outdoors enthusiast. With longer than average raglan sleeves, and
a longer than average body, it can be worn for any outdoor activity, including cycling/trail
biking.
At this weight, it easily outclasses any synthetic polyfleece in terms of wa
rmth/weight ratio, and bulk. This will simply roll up to less than half the size
of an equivalent warmth synthetic fleece and tuck into your backpack without taking
up all the space.
We had this top road-tested on a two week field trip in Assynt, and it came through
with flying colours. Our tester (in his words "6'1" with arms like a gorilla") reported
that it was surprisingly warm even with a chill wind blowing, with none of that "sleeve
creep" you can get with some knits. He said he wore it over one of our Taranaki T
shirt/base layers, and was warm even in the very chilly evenings.
He also reported that even after two week's wear - no pong! He added that his base
layer lasted 8 days before needing a wash - not bad going we reckon.
